You’ve been invited to a wedding. You are so excited your socks are knocked off, and you can barely think about what to wear.
Maybe the pink spring dress you saw at the store?
Or you could wear that snazzy vintage lehenga you picked up last week and didn’t know where to wear it to.
Okay, don’t freak out. That’s why we’re here to help. We are bringing you tips, dos and don’t’s on what to wear to a spring wedding.
HALDI: During the ceremony of Haldi, women wear soft, flowy dresses or salwaar kameez. Go with light, bright colours such as oranges, pinks, yellows and creams.
MEHENDI: Any colour or style is advisable for this function, wear something that is comfortable. If you are wearing a dupatta with your outfits, make sure you pin it up to avoid any henna on your clothes.
SANGEET: This one is a dressy function. Wear either a lehenga, a saree or a heavy embroidered suit. Since, this function is mostly celebrated at night. We suggest you go for dark colors, however pastel colours with different styles and silhouettes also look great.
WEDDING CEREMONY: Depending on what time of the day the wedding is taking place, one should accordingly choose their outfit. Stay away from “reds” on someone else’s wedding. Any style can be worn.
Happy spring wedding dressing up!
